    EMERGENCY CAMERON STATION TOWNHALL

To Stop Massive New Cut-Through Traffic on Cameron Station Blvd

Wednesday, July 31 at 7 PM

Cameron Station Clubhouse - Great Room

400 Cameron Station Blvd, Alexandria VA

    Online: https://teams.live.com/meet/9374864249159?p=BYoGlSgAOtYymIndUQ

This is an EXISTENTIAL THREAT to our precious Cameron Station neighborhood!
Massive new cut-through traffic on Cameron Station Blvd is about to start!

The City’s Traffic Board just approved a heavy “road diet” on S. Pickett St. which will result in a huge increase of cut-through traffic on Cameron Station Blvd.

Did you know that S. Pickett St. has the same traffic level as King St. at Bradlee Shopping Center?  Cameron Station will become a very enticing bypass, indeed!

    1. Think about 2x or 4x cut-through traffic at our traffic circle…is it not bad enough already?
    2. Think about kids walking to & from school...with more impatient drivers on CSB!
    3. Think about strollers…will you want to cross the street?
    4. Think about walking your dog…won’t you feel less safe?
    5. Think about walking to the pool with your kids….safer?

THE ROAD DIET CAN BE STOPPED, THOUGH!
City Council can vote to stop it altogether or send it back for revision.  We want it to be revised so that it prevents not encourage cut-through traffic on CSB. Please, we need your help right now to force the road diet plan to be revised, to protect our neighborhood.

YOUR SIGNATURE on a FORMAL PETITION IS NECESSARY, by WEDNESDAY NIGHT July 31
A formal petition forces City Council to hold public hearings on the S. Pickett road diet plan.  Petition signatures are needed no later than this Wednesday night, July 31 due to the 15-day filing deadline.  Emergency!

LEARN MORE at the TOWNHALL on WEDNESDAY July 31
